About Juli

Counselling Psychologist

Juli is an HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist, a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and a member of the Society for Existential Analysis. She completed her doctorate at Regent's University London.

Juli's primary therapeutic approach is existential. She supports clients in exploring important questions: how can I find my purpose? How do I cope with things I cannot change? How can I move towards living a life that feels more free and aligns with my needs and values? In this work, she draws on psychodynamic theory, exploring the early events and relationships that have shaped the client’s present life patterns, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), encouraging clients to take responsibility for amending these patterns where they no longer serve them. Juli's interest in and respect for the specific experience and world view of each client underlies her open, supportive, and collaborative approach.

Juli has worked in the NHS and with mental health charities, and is experienced in working with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, mild to moderate psychosis, complex trauma, and borderline personality disorder.

Juli offers weekly in-person sessions to individuals and couples over the age of 18.
