About Andrew
Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
Andrew is a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He completed his training at the Metanoia Institute in West London, and also holds an Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic Use of the Arts.
At the core of Andrew's practice is the belief that the quality of the working relationship greatly influences how much you are able to get out of therapy. He has seen clients make great strides in their life when there is a discovered agreement on what the best support looks like for each individual.
Andrew describes his work as person-centered, embodied enquiry. He is curious about and interested in all aspects of how his clients experience life. He is interested in how language, social context, and the physical reality come together to shape our entire experience. He aims to understand some of what this is like for his clients, and to use this to assist in a supportive and non-judgemental way.
Andrew has experience of providing counselling in the third sector, working with children and adults of all ages. He has worked with clients on a broad range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, addiction, difficulties around food and physical wellbeing, work, relationship problems, bereavements, trauma, and abuse.
Andrew is currently offering both in-person and remote sessions, and works in English and French.
